Wow. None of us can believe that a whole year has passed. Kayla, that sweet little girl who is just as happy as can by anytome we get together with our friends, the one who watches the big kids goof around, the one who can't keep her eyes off Oliver? She's one!? It's amazing that the time has passed so quickly. And we are we so surprised when it always does? We so easily remember when Isabelle first came home from the hospital, now she's about to go into Grade One! We were thrilled to pay a visit to the birthday girl on her actual birthday, a small get-together as the big party was scheduled for the weekend after Uncle Blue's wedding. She was as happy as ever, enjoying yet confused by all the people and the attention. Like most kids though, she quickly understood the concepts of gifts and cake, the staples of any kid's exciting life. Isabelle and Oliver just liked the chance to go to Logan's place, check out all his toys (Oliver was overwhelmed by the super heros!) and have some pizza and cake to cap the night off! It's great that it's summertime and we can head out on weeknights without fear of it being a school night or without the sun going down so early. Kayla was the perfect birthday girl and is all geared up for more festivities in the coming weeks. Happy Birthday, Kayla, we love you and you have the proudest Godmother ever!
