Although not TV junkies by any stretch, Isabelle and Oliver have become big fans of Yo Gabba Gabba, and today we were lucky enough to see DJ Lance and his crew live and in concert right here in Ottawa!
Everyone had a wicked time, although Oliver was a little slow (and a bit scared) to understand what was going on, he soon recognized the familiar faces and songs and warmed up enough to point and clap along. Needless to say, Isabelle had a blast, munching on fries and dancing up a storm, especially after intermission, when the characters came onto the floor (she hugged Foofa!) and many of the kids moved up in front of the stage and danced together. She was right in the mix and when Biz Markie came out for Beat of the Day, she made her way up and beatboxed with him in front of the whole crowd! She's a bold and confident little girl, we'll have to let her know she can't go on stage at every show she sees!
Back to our seats to see the show come to an end (with confetti cannons going off), Oliver and Isabelle waved goodbye to their friends and said thanks for a super fun show. They will both be so proud to wear their new YGG shirts to school tomorrow, even Mom and Dad got shirts to mark the occasion. These shows are so much fun to attend, most of all to see the reactions of these little ones from start to finish. Their eyes light up and their smiles are so genuine, it's a treat for parents and kids alike!
