Every year in early December, Daddy's daily commute to work also happens on Sunday and includes the family as passengers. That's because the Canada Post kid's Christmas party is on and is ready for kids of all sizes to do cookie decorating, crafts, bouncy castles and more! Best of all, Santa is there and is ready to see the little ones, a much easier proposition than the lengthy lines when he has his later shift at the mall.
Isabelle and Oliver made a beeline for cookie decorating and were clearly not interested in packing these cookies away for dessert after dinner. No thanks, I'll eat it right now! From there it was time to let off some steam in the conference rooms, one of which had huge bouncy castles and the other putting on a full on dance party, complete with hoops, bouncing balls and club music to rival Elgin Street on a Saturday night. It is literally impossible not to have fun at this event, even if you are a bit timid around Santa, like Oliver. He stared down Saint Nick for awhile, watching his every move, then finally got enough courage to give him a high five and tell him softly what he wanted. Isabelle was much less shy and was very forthcoming in her Christmas wishes, smiling and chatting with Santa like he was an old friend dropping by to visit.
Although there was no snow to mark the occasion, it felt like winter and the holidays inside. Now everyone reading this, go ship some presents over the holidays, see what smiles Canada Post can bring to kid's faces!
Dude, stay away from my cookie.
Good practice for 14 years from now at University
You mean I can just run wherever I want?
She'll even tell the inflatable one what she wants!
