Beltin' Out The Beatles

We thoroughly enjoyed the last of a trio of holiday concerts for our family. This week we had the honour of seeing Isabelle and her daycare friends do a different take on the annual year-end concert, a group of 5-year olds celebrating peace and singing some classic songs from The Beatles. We have been hearing Isabelle practicing these in the backseat and all around the house for weeks, and today was her chance to shine on the big stage. She loved getting the chance to perform and did a fantastic, as did all of her classmates. She's hard to spot in some of these videos, but keep a close eye and you'll see our little superstar in action!

Isabelle's favourite, notice how the kids seem to have nailed the chorus but have varying success on the verses!

Ready for the spotlight

A classic song, also featured in one of Mommy's favourite Xmas movies

The theme of the concert and month preceding it was Peace. Isabelle created an amazing banner representing peace, writing Peace is Having a Family. Such a sweetheart.

Other children had different definitions of peace...

The big finale (sorry the memory card filled and we missed the tail end)

Isabelle has worked on this painting with her daycare art teacher Miss Bonnie for the past month, she is so proud of her creation. She is always referring to its "texture". Songstress and artist too!
