Sold Out Show

Oliver and Isabelle, always the prime source of entertainment around our house, were all set to take their act to an adoring public this week at their daycare's annual Christmas concert. Isabelle has been singing her songs repeatedly in the car every day, while we had been told Oliver was one of the rising stars in the toddler room. The anticipation in the building's packed cafeteria was mounting as friends and family eagerly awaited the arrival of the tiny performers. Soon enough, a line of toddlers with antlers made their way into the cafeteria, led by Oliver, the cutest blond reindeer you ever saw. As we expected, Oliver lined up to sing with his jingle bells in hand, but once he spotted Mom and Dad, the jig was up and the tears started to flow. After he moved fast and was safely in his Mom's arms, Oliver enjoyed the rest of the toddler and junior shows and got set to see big sis strut her stuff with the seniors.

The closing numbers featured all the mature singing voices of the Senior room, including our own little songstress Isabelle and her best bud Logan. They strolled in sporting their crafty Santa hats and belted out some killer Christmas carols. Isabelle and Logan were front and centre giving it their all, with Isabelle in her fancy red dress and Logan in his white shirt and (unbuttoned?) black pants. Hilarious! They put on a great show and had so much fun doing it. They basked in the cheers and the kudos from the audience and then waited for Santa to arrived and hand out their well-earned presents. Who knows if any of these kids will end up as well-known musicians some day, but if they do, we can say we saw them in their first concert ever! Now time to focus on bigger and better things, Christmas is just a week away!
