The last of Isabelle's many birthday gifts from September finally arrived this Saturday as she attended The Alberta Ballet's presentation of The Nutcracker at the National Arts Centre. Aunties Menna and Rhiannon not only gave her this wonderful gift, but we were also thrilled that they joined her and Mommy in attendance. Needless to say, Isabelle was decked out in a beautiful dress for the occasion (thanks to Auntie Madeline!); there is no girl this side of Suri Cruise that likes dresses more. The four girls had awesome seats right up close and had as wonderful a time as you could imagine. Isabelle was enthralled by all the action and was so impressed with the dancers, especially her favourite, the Waltz of the Flowers. She was the perfect ballet patron and was even lucky enough to pick up a Clara doll at the merchandise booth, which has become the newest of her many sleep toys. Afterwards, she went for hot chocolate and dessert with the girls to chat about the performance. It was a magical afternoon and one that we are already set to make an annual holiday tradition. We can't wait to be back at the NAC next December, all dressed up and ready for Tchaikovsky to take us back to Land of Sweets again!
All dressed up with somewhere to go!
Mommy, how do they make it look so easy?
Check out my newfound ballet moves!
