Sunday Sleddin'

Isabelle has been chomping at the bit to get outside and play in the recent snow that has fallen. Although this morning started out with a rain/snow mix that was more like a combination of ice pellets and freezing rain, we all felt brave enough to take the sled out of the garage for its inaugural run of the season. Oliver was not overly thrilled to get suited up in his snowsuit, but we overcame that obstacle and got him outside. He got one look at the sled, put 2 and 2 together and he was hooked! Dude, it's like a wagon ride but way more fun! After some zipping around the park as fast as Daddy could handle it, Isabelle and Oliver decided it would be way more fun if they did the pulling. They were great about taking turns and each of them had a blast tugging the empty sled to and fro. Isabelle even took Oliver for a little spin herself. No need for the parents to expend any energy, we'll have to keep that in mind for next time! It was nice to get out and take a little break from all the holiday prep, gift wrapping, tree trimming, shopping and whatever else has been on our plate...oh yeah, work and parenting! Luckily, we even had the chance to venture across the street for a little Xmas get-together as well, nice to ring in the holidays with our neighbours and clearly Isabelle didn't mind the treats and the cookie decorating!

C'mon, let's get this sled movin'!
