Bank Street was abuzz with excitement today and Isabelle did her best to contribute to all the anticipation, because Santa Claus was on his way! A chilly morning for the parade with high windchills but we all braved the elements to see jolly old Saint Nick make his way through our neighbourhood. We warmed up before, during and after with some Starbucks beverages (very convenient how that ended the location we chose to watch the parade), but weather wasn't much of an issue for Isabelle, whose mind was on the parade and nothing else. She was thrilled to get some reindeer antlers plus candy canes and suckers along the way, but withheld her best cheers for the big man himself. She screamed at the top of her chilly lungs and waved with reckless abandon as he rode by, and then spent the next hour wondering where he went and could we see the parade again. Needless to say, she clearly "gets" who Santa is and what he is planning to bring her. She hasn't written her letter yet but ask her what she wants from Santa and she will say without fail "a car, a dolly and a bed". Tall order for Pere Noel but I have my money on home coming through in the clutch. The house looks great with decorations inside and lights outside, the weather is turning, bring on that snow because it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!I'm not ready to go yet, still on the runway!
