Happy 2nd Birthday to You!

Isabelle's 2nd birthday is here! She has been a busy girl over the past few days with travels to Halifax for pony rides and parties, then back home to Ottawa for a cupcake and crown at daycare and then a party with Logan tonight. The busy life of a birthday toddler can run her (and her parents) ragged, but it is well worth any and all effort to see all the smiles and the fun experiences that she enjoys. Thanks to everyone for their cards and gifts, she loved unwrapping each and every one of them. She has also already figured out , much like her mom, that the icing is by far the best part of the cake, and the only part that really requires eating! And cake has been on the menu a lot as of late, yummy Elmo, Cookie Monster and Big Bird cupcakes in Halifax and then her Cinderella cake tonight. Even with the sugar consumption, our little angel is now tucked in bed and snoozing away, as we look back and appreciate just how lucky we are to have this little 2-year old in our lives.
