'Twas the Night Before School

It's been almost 5 years since little Isabelle arrived. We've had her pretty much all to ourselves since that day. Sure we've had to share her with others and she has spent many days at home with nannies and full days away at two different daycares but that's not the same as school, is it? Our little girl is becoming a big girl as tomorrow she starts school. Like, REAL SCHOOL?!  ISABELLE!? I thought she just got home from the hospital! It's amazing how much time has flown. We held her back from Junior Kindergarten so she could stay close to her little brother, and luckily she will still be spending most of her day (save for 2.5 hours) in the same place as her favourite dude. Tomorrow morning she will head off to Acorn as usual, but soon she will realize this day is different. She and some of her friends will walk to school, where she will spend a few hours with her new teacher (who we met today), then head back to Acorn to finish off her day. Oliver can rest assured that his playground pal will still be there to goof around with outside. She is very excited to be growing up and to learn some French words to teach her Mom and Dad (and relatives!), but she is a bit anxious, enough that she wanted to start the night in Mommy and Daddy's bed. Her and Oliver are curled up and are ready to take on tomorrow's big challenge. We are so proud of both of them. What a super duo and as for Isabelle, she will rock that school. Do us proud, little student!
