Look Before You Leap!

These two kids are just loving their time around the pool, especially Isabelle, who will spend hours upon hours in the water with anyone who wants to entertain her! Oliver took a few tries to really feel comfortable but is now loving it as well. Monday afternoon Isabelle spent close to 4 hours in the pool, thanks to her Gran and Grandpa's dedication to fulfilling her desires. She is becoming more daring each and every day, leaping high and far into any recipients outstretched arms, falling backwards to someone catching her, and now even pushing off from the steps, going underwater and kicking her way over to you!!! It's amazing to see how she has progressed and also how willing she is to try anything in the water. Luckily she has accomplished swimmers all around her, encouraging her to do more each time out. She will be miles ahead of everyone when she heads back to Preschool C Swimming Classes in Ottawa!

Oliver is also enjoying the water and the pool deck. He likes to strut around the deck chairs and the side of the pool, checking things out, walking just close enough to the edge to make his private security detail nervous. Soon after that, he started to sit on the side and get his feet wet, then his Mom was able to get him into the water and bouncing up and down. Big smiles on his face all the while, he always keeps an eye on his sister, who never fails to make him laugh and only adds to the fun he is having in the water. The kids in Parent & Tot class will have to start practicing to keep up with little O this spring, his Florida training camp is well underway!

Poor kids will soon have to head back to boring old Ottawa, where there is no pool downstairs, nor are there several willing relatives with time to take them to and fro in the water! At least they will back at it in lessons one night a week, impressing their parents yet again with not only their skills but their love for the water! Happy swimming!
