Goodbye Uncle Roy

We are sad to report that the great Uncle Roy has passed on. For as long as you walk the earth, never will you meet a man that enjoyed life as much as he did. His gregarious personality, quick wit and infectious laugh made an indelible mark on everyone he met, and if you met him once, you would never forget him. Salt of the earth would be a phrase built to describe him.

As the grand patriarch of the annual family picnic, Roy provided young and old with year upon year of fun, festivities and summertime entertainment. We look forward to continuing to celebrate this event he so graciously hosted each and every August.

Roy leaves behind so many fond memories, you would be hard pressed to find someone who doesn't have a story to tell about this great man. He served his country, he worked the land, he walked to his heart's content upon retirement, and he smiled every step of the way. We will all miss him so much, in heaven he is surely telling some great stories and laughing the night away. God bless Uncle Roy and what he meant to all of us.
