Acorn Art Show

Isabelle and Oliver's daycare really is an amazing place. The very first time we took a tour of this place, over 2 years ago, we were shown a room full of paintings. We were amazed at how beautiful they were, then we were told they were done by the PRESCHOOL kids!?  Wow. That's when we first learned all about Miss Bonnie, the Art teacher who comes every week to spend time with the Toddler, the Preschoolers and the Kindergarten kids. Once Isabelle and Oliver joined the daycare, they met Bonnie and worked hard on building their art skills week after week. Isabelle would come with us to look at art (as we are shopping for something in our main room) and she would walk up to a painting, commenting on its "texture". Clearly Miss Bonnie was getting through to her! This past week was the culmination of the past few months as the daycare had an art show to display all of the kid's accomplishment. It was amazing to see the product of all their hard work on display for all to see. The exhibit was really well done, including summary cards that described the creative process they all went through, which was nice for us to read. We are so lucky to have them visit such a fabulous place every day, they get so much out of it and they are so proud when events like this allow them to show off! Bravo, little artists, you did an awesome job!
